What is the Tamper Alarm?

The tamper alarm is a security feature that alerts you when your lock has been tampered with.

How it Works

The tamper alarm is activated if the cable that contacts the keypad of the lock to the interior of the lock is removed.

If someone tries to enter the home by forcibly pulling the keypad off the door, this action will disconnect the cable from the inside of the lock, causing the tamper alarm to sound. Yale Access users will also receive a notification via the App whenever the tamper alarm sounds.

The tamper alarm will continue to go off until either the batteries are removed or the lock’s cable is reconnected.

PLEASE NOTE: The batteries must be charged and installed in order for the tamper alarm to be activated.
