Over-tightening the Screws
Over-tightening the screws during installation may cause the motor to jam up with prolonged use. It may also cause difficulty when trying to operate the deadbolt using a key.
If you are concerned that the screws are too tight, because you are experiencing mechanical issues such as your lock jamming or difficulty using a key, we recommend removing the lock from the mounting plate and loosening the mounting plate screws half a turn. This will create a small amount of wiggle room to help the lock operate optimally.
Adapters
