How to Replace the Batteries in Locks with a Smart Module
Step 1: Remove the battery cover from the inside escutcheon of your lock
Step 2: Remove and replace all 4 batteries at the same time. Listen for the Start Up sound from the lock.
Step 3: Replace the battery cover.
How to Replace the Batteries in Yale Smart Lock Pro
Press down on the Yale logo located at the bottom of the face plate. The top of the face plate will tilt outward. Grab the faceplate to remove it from the lock.
Remove all 4 batteries and replace with 4 standard non-rechargeable alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive (+) end is pointing up. Make sure the batteries snap into place, and the light on your Smart Lock flashes green.
Place the faceplate back onto the Yale Smart Lock with the Yale logo oriented at the bottom of the face plate.
