The 1st generation Doorbell Cam has multiple power modes, which can help resolve any buzzing or humming emitted from a doorbell chime. These modes allow your camera to enter various stages of sleep mode, which reduce the amount of power it draws through the system. When Power Consumption is set at Low or Medium, your Doorbell Cam may take longer to wake up when a visitor approaches and presses the button or triggers a motion event. This delay will vary with each doorbell system, and can sometimes result in photos that do not properly capture the visitor. We encourage you to test different settings to see which works best for your specific doorbell setup.
Adjust Doorbell Cam Power Consumption

- Open the Yale Access App
- Select the associated house from the Keychain
- Navigate to the Settings menu by selecting the gear icon

- Adjust the Power Consumption slider as needed
