If you have purchased the Nest x Yale bundle SKU (RB-YRD540-WV) the Nest Connect Wi-Fi bridge is included in the box and therefore, you won’t need to purchase anything else to make your lock work or control it remotely.
If you have purchased the Nest x Yale lock only SKU (YRD540-WV), you will need a Nest Connect Wi-Fi Bridge or the Google Nest Secure Alarm system to operate your lock remotely.
How Does Nest x Yale Work with Other Nest Products?
The Nest × Yale Lock works together with the Nest Secure alarm system to make coming home easy. You can enable an option in the Nest app to disarm your alarm when your door is unlocked.
Can I Use Voice Assistants to Lock and Unlock the Door?
With Google Assistant, customers can remotely check the status of the Nest x Yale Lock from anywhere, lock it with a simple voice command, and include it in a Google Routine.
What is the Expected Battery Life for Nest x Yale?
Your Nest x Yale lock uses 4 AA batteries. With regular usage, the battery life of Nest x Yale is approximately one year. Approximately 5 weeks before the batteries must be replaced, you will receive continuous notifications to replace the batteries in your lock.
How Do I Install Nest x Yale?
