How to Install: Yale Assure App

Once you have successfully installed your Assure Lock with Bluetooth, download the free Yale Assure app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Open the app after it downloads to your device.

Create a new account through the "Not signed up yet?" option, or sign in to your existing account if this is not your first Assure Lock with Bluetooth.

The countries available to choose are USA/Canada, Philippines, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand.

Once your account has been created, the app will take you through a quick tutorial.

With the Assure App, you have the ability to modify and customize lock, key, and app settings.

Lock Settings

Lock management such as updating PIN codes, changing the lock name, and modifying Settings can be made in the Lock Settings menu.

Access Lock Settings in the Assure app by selecting the gear symbol from the top left-hand side of the screen.

PLEASE NOTE: After each modification, the information needs to be sent to the lock by choosing the option “Send to Lock”. Modifications can only be made when you are within Bluetooth range of the lock. You will be prompted to enter the following combination after each modification:

  1. On the lock’s touchscreen, enter the master PIN code
  2. Press ‘8’ followed by the Gear Key
  3. Press ‘3’ followed by the Gear Key (2x)

App Settings

Changes to your account preferences such as updating your password, notification settings, and lock interaction preferences can be made using the Assure app.

To make modifications:

  1. Open the Assure app.
  2. Tap on the Gear symbol in the top-left corner to access the Preferences menu.
  3. Select from the list of Preferences to make changes.

Key Settings

To customize key settings such as key name, color, or ownership, access the Key Settings menu on the Assure app:

  • Tap the Key in the app to access its menu.
  • Tap ‘Manage Users’ to share a digital key with another Yale Assure app user. Note that you can send either a permanent key, which provides unlimited access to your lock, or a scheduled key that's only valid during set times.
  • Tap on a user and select ‘Remove User’ at any time to block their access. You can also update the notifications associated with a specific user. Peruse the menu to see available modification options.
  • Changes to the color of a key can be made by tapping ‘Color’ and then pick a color from the palette.
