This article provides answers to some frequently asked questions about the Assure Lock Interconnected (YRC216, YRC226, and YRC256).
Will the new interconnected lock (Assure Lock Interconnect) retrofit existing locks?
Yes, the Assure Lock Interconnect uses standard deadbolt and cylindrical lock 2-1/8" bore. Therefore it retrofits easily into any application with either a 4" or 5-1/2" center to center dimension
What finishes are available?
Three finishes are offered for the Assure Lock Interconnect: Bright Brass 605, Satin Nickel 619, and Oil Rubbed Bronze Permanent US10BP.
What lever styles are available?
Twelve (12) lever styles are available including levers from both our YH Collection™ and select New Traditions® lever offering.
What functions are available?
The Assure Lock Interconnect is available in both mechanical and electronic functions. Mechanical units are available as either single locking, double locking or single locking with indicator. Electronic units use the Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ push button, touchscreen or key free deadbolts.
Is the Assure Lock Interconnect field adjustable for multiple center to center dimensions?
The mechanical version is field adjustable between 4" and 5-1-2" center to center dimensions. Electronic versions are available to accommodate 4" and 5-1/2" but must be specified when ordering. All mechanical warehouse units will be preset to 5-1/2".
Is the Assure Lock Interconnect available with SFIC?
Yes, both single and double locking functions are available with SFIC prep. All units are shipped less core. For double locking functions, only the AU, MO and PB lever styles are available. SFIC cores are available separately through Yale Commercial.
Is the Assure Lock Interconnect handed?
Yes, units are handed, but easily field reversible. Handing should be specified when ordered and will be set at the factory. All warehouse units will be preset to RH.
Is the Assure Lock Interconnect ANSI/BHMA Certified?
Yes, the Assure Lock Interconnect is ANSI/BHMA A156.12 certified Grade 2
What is the UL/cUL fire rating?
20 minutes
Is the Assure Lock Interconnect Windstorm certified?
No, the Assure Lock Interconnect is currently not Windstorm certified.
Will the Assure Lock Interconnect meet the requirements of the Buy American Act?
