What type of batteries does the alarmed value safe use?
Four AA batteries (included).
How long will my Alarmed value safe batteries last?
The batteries are expected to last up to one year under normal operating conditions. Extreme high and low temperatures may affect battery performance. If the battery is low, a series of warning beeps will sound. The lock operates as normal immediately following the alerts. The mechanical key can be used to unlock the lock under these conditions. Replacing the battery once every year is recommended to ensure optimal performance.
How will I know my Alarmed value safe batteries need changing?
When entering a code, the red light will flash indicating that the batteries are low.
How do I change my batteries?
Unlock the safe and open the safe door. Open the battery door, located on the inside of the safe door. Remove the 4 AA batteries and insert 4 new AA batteries. Reinstall the battery cover and close the safe.
Can I mount my Alarmed value safe?
Yes, the safes are equipped with holes on the bottom and back of the safe, and the appropriate hardware to allow you mount for safe to the floor or a wall.
How many user codes can I program into my Alarmed value safe?
One 3 to 8 digit pin code can be programmed into the safe. See installation instructions for programming steps.
How do I reset the alarmed value safe?
The alarmed value safe can be reset by pressing the red reset button located on the inside of the safe.
What is the warranty for the Alarmed value safe?
2 year limited lifetime warranty.
What happens if I lock my keys in the safe or lose my keys?
Replacement keys can be ordered via customer service or tech support. Please write in the number of your key e.g. for the model Y-MS, the key number can be found by removing the key cover plate and the code is either six digits, begins with a ‘J’ or a ‘G’. For the ‘Y-SV’ model of safe, there will be a three or four digit code (under the Yale cover plate).
Where can I find the code to get new keys ordered?

For the ‘Y-SV’ model of safe, there will be a three or four digit code, stamped on to the cylinder (hidden under the yellow Yale cover plate).
